About Department
The Department of History at Bhaktkavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh Established in the month of June, 2018. Its offers a Comprehensive program that explores the complexities of the past, its impact on the present, and its relevance to the future. The Department of History at Bhaktkavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh for instance, offers M.A. and Certificate Course in Tourism Management courses, as well as opportunities for doctoral research. The program covers a wide range of topics, including Ancient, Medieval, Modern, and Contemporary Indian, Gujarat and Specially Religious and Regional History.

Program Name : Manka Series(Sorath Varios religious and spiritual places ) 1 to 107 Episode
Objective
- Since 2021 History Program is organizing Manaka Series every Saturday through the online platform of the University. We will conduct a total of 107 programs as Manka.
- In an one-hour program, professors & ICT Team visit any one spiritual, historical & regional place of the Saurashtra region and reveal its history of it.
- It helps to make understand the people about the importance of the historical places as well as spread awareness about that place which also stimulate the tourism.
- Even it is a virtual documentation of the various places of saurashtra region.
Out Come: The tourism policy of the state government has also been aimed at highlighting the regional tourist destinations. In this regard, these Manka have become very popular in strengthening the efforts of the History Department of the University to highlight the pilgrimage sites of saurashtra region.
