  • • Authored Redlist Assessment of Sloth bear for IUCN (2016)
  • • Contributed in formulating the guidelines on Human –bear conflict management for MoEF CC, Government of India
  • • Coordinated State-wide sloth bear population estimation in Gujarat state (May 2016)
  • • Co Authored the guidelines for rescue and release of wild bears (Central Zoo Authority, Govt of India)
  • • Conducting Forest field staff training programmes in In India as well as in Bhutan

Awards and Fellowships
  • • Research work on sloth bear corridors in Gujarat is recognized and referred by the CAG, Govt of India
  • • Initiated the World Sloth bear Day in coordination with IUCN, Wildlife SOS and MoEFCC (Govt of India) and Central Zoo Authority of India
  • • Produced a short documentary film and an Animation film on Sloth bear
  • • Organized a live talk series on “Bears of India” on YouTube (May 1014,2020)
  • • Recipient of Booster Grant Award, Ruffords Foundation, UK
  • • Organized National Level Training Course for young researchers on “Conducting Effective Research on Large Carnivore Ecology and Habitats” in Partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, USA
  • • Awarded as a front-line trainer for Tiger conservation in all Tiger Range Countries under the Smithsonian –World Bank Global Tiger Initiative Programme. (2010-2020)
